Addiction and Recovery

Addiction can include substance use (drugs and alcohol) as well as behavioral addictions (compulsive sex, shopping, gambling). We will create an individualized plan for quitting OR decreasing the addictive behavior based on your past history of use or abuse, current life stressors or problems that may be contributing to the addiction. Your plans will be centered around capitalizing on your strengths, addressing your weaknesses, setting goals, and increasing your motivation for change. If you do not identify with the label of “addiction”, but you are still seeking change, that’s fantastic! I am making an individualized plan with YOU, not a cookie-cutter program that I apply to all clients.
