D.O.T. SAP Services
The S.A.P. (Substance Abuse Professional) certification that I hold is recognized by the federal Department of Transportation and is used to protect those operating vehicles in safety-sensitive positions and to protect the public they serve. Professionals that work for such positions (examples: bus drivers; police officers; freight drivers for a private trucking company; airline pilots) who violate D.O.T. drug and alcohol policy are required to complete an assessment by a certified S.A.P. in order to be referred to an appropriate level of treatment before returning to work.
